The Journey to Running a Full Marathon after Total Thyroidectomy

I am determined to run the Palm Beach Marathon on December 2013 after having total thyroidectomy on  October 29th 2012. I am creating this blog to inspire thyroid cancer survivors. There are so many websites and blogs with so much negative information that I hope this blog could change the negative perspective of thyroid cancer survivors.

DECEMBER 2012

12.2.12 - I watched my colleague run half a marathon today. Lola (my dog) and I ran the last .25 mile with her and I was touched by her determination. I ran my first marathon in 2011, but after my thyroid surgery and reading so much negative things online I started to believe I wasn't going to run again. TODAY I am on a journey to train again and run my second marathon in 2013.

Yes, having my thyroid removed just a month ago has changed my life, body and soul. I am not going to describe what it has done to me because you can read online, but one thing I can assure you is that your energy levels drop like you can't ever imagine. I used to be a social animal, but now I prefer to stay home and chill to my energy.
